Her extensive volunteer work shows Wendy’s dedication to her community.
Upon returning to Robinson Township, she quickly engaged with local organizations, notably the Center for Women in Transition and the Greater Ottawa County United Way.
As an account manager for the United Way, she spoke to large and small companies when fundraising for charitable organizations in Ottawa County. Wendy also organized events like the Garden Fest and the Community Massage and Wellness event, promoting sustainability and healthy living.
Her efforts raised significant funds and earned her the Volunteer of the Year award, highlighting her impact on the community.
Wendy has also volunteered with the Ottawa County Parks and the Bass River Recreation Area, contributing to maintaining and preserving local trails and parks.
Her commitment to community service extends to her precinct delegate role and entrepreneurial ventures, demonstrating her resourcefulness and compassion.
Wendy Coon is a deeply rooted member of Robinson Township, having grown up on Stearns Bayou and later moving back to the township after living in California, Montana, and New York. Her family has been in Robinson Township for over 100 years.
She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1992. Wendy’s professional journey is marked by her entrepreneurial spirit and diverse career experiences. She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist, Mortgage Loan Originator, and Director of R&D, Melissa Myers Group Wealth Advisors.
Wendy’s return to Robinson Township in 2007 ignited her passion for community involvement and volunteerism.
